Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Infinity War is making the headlines for all the good reasons. The film‘s staggering success at the global box office has made it the fourth-highest grossing movie of all time. It has already earned a whopping $1.813 billion in earnings worldwide and is soon inching closer to cross $2 billion.
Avengers: Infinity War’s success can be credited to all the fan-favorite actors who worked hard to make sure that audiences love the film as well as their characters. Tom Holland’s portrayal of Spider-Man in the film has not only impressed the audiences but also the comic-book legend Stan Lee who co-created the Spider-Man character along with Steve Ditko in 1962.
Lee recently took to Twitter to share his praise for the 22-year-old Tom Holland’s portrayal of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In his tweet, Lee called Holland a great Spider-Man.
“I think @TomHolland1996 is a great Spider-Man,” Lee wrote. “He is the exact height and age I envisioned when I first wrote Spider-Man. Spidey was never supposed to be too large.”
In another tweet, Lee encourages everyone to never give up on their dreams as when he first wrote Spider-Man nobody was ready to publish it. But, he didn’t give up until it was published. And now Spider-Man is undoubtedly one of the favorite comic-book characters.
Tom has also responded back to Lee’s appreciation tweet for his portrayal of the iconic character.
“Thanks very much Stan,” the Avengers: Infinity War actor wrote. “It all started with you sir. Looking forward to catching up soon bud.”
Holland has always been a big fan of Spider-Man. He had previously shared a picture of himself posing with a Tobey Maguire Spider-Man toy as well as another picture which showed him with a childhood Spider-Man costume.

Never give up on your dreams! When I first wrote Spider-Man my publisher said I was crazy because people hate spiders and insects and he was not going to publish it. But I never gave up, until it was published.
