While the next X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix, is still far away from release, a new poster for the film has been unveiled at the ongoing Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP) 2018 event. The poster in question, which is styled to look exactly like the traditional X-Men comics, features Sophie Turner as Jean Grey in the front and center with her hair floating as energy bursts in the background. James McAvoy’s Professor Xavier and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto also join Jean in the poster which is complete with the old X-Men title logo.
Fox has also set up X- Dark Phoenix movie’s X-Mansion at the Comic-Con event. The X-Mansion was briefly teased in the film’s trailer. The trailer showed a young Jean Grey arriving at the X-Mansion. You can check out the X-Mansion pictures below.
The 20th Century Fox panel at the CCXP 2018 will reportedly include a Dark Phoenix presentation which will have Sophie Turner, Jessica Chastain, and director Simon Kinberg in attendance. The presentation will be held on Friday, December 7.
Dark Phoenix, which is the big screen interpretation of the Dark Phoenix Saga comic book storyline, tells the story of Jean Grey, a mutant with telepathic and telekinetic powers.
The upcoming X-Men film is poised to be the first Fox film to be released officially under Disney. Notably, once the Disney-Fox deal is finalized, the rights to the X-Men, Fantastic Four and all their tie-in characters will come to Marvel and will be managed by Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige.
Dark Phoenix stars Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain. Simon Kinberg, who is writing and directing the film, is also producing it alongside Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker.
Finally, after several delays, Dark Phoenix is set to debut in theatres on June 7, 2019.
