Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War saw Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, travel to Nidavellir, one of the Nine Realms and home to the Dwarves, along with Guardians of the Galaxy Rocket Raccoon and Groot in a quest to get a new weapon. The God of Thunder’s Mjolnir was destroyed by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok.
Upon arriving at Nidavellier, Thor found Eitri, the last of giant dwarf blacksmiths in the universe, who helped in building a new weapon- the mythic axe Jarnbjorn, aka Stormbreaker. While they all forged Stormbreaker, Groot had to lift the hammer to create a handle for the axe with his own arm.
Notably, Eitri was the one who made the Infinity Gauntlet for Thanos, after the purple-hued monster threatened to kill all of his fellow dwarves.
The creators at The Hacksmith, who previously made a working Captain America shield including the electromagnetic gauntlet, have now made a successful attempt to build Thor’s Stormbreaker. They have uploaded Part 1 of Stormbreaker’s construction video, which shows how the blade was designed on the computer and made.
The video shows how Hobson and his team used a machine to cut out the steel pieces to construct the blade, welded the pieces together, and then sharpened the edge of the blade using an angle grinder. At the end, Hobson used an electromagnetic gauntlet to attach Stormbreaker’s blade to his arm Groot-style.

Well, this is just the first part of Stormbreaker’s making video, we will have to watch out for the next video to see how the rest of the weapon turns out.
Thor will next be seen in action in Avengers 4 trying to avenge the innocent lives who fell prey to Thanos’ devastating snap.
The yet-to-be-titled Avengers 4 is set to release next year on May 3rd.
