All MCU Films Since Iron Man ‘Finds A Narrative Thread’ In Avengers 3 & 4, Says Russo Brothers

The upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 will mark the end of MCU’s 22-movie arc by wrapping up Phase 3. The films set for Phase 4 are expected to go forward with a new storytelling.

Over the past few months, it has been teased that both the Avengers movie will have events from past MCU titles. Speculations have since continued that these scenes could possibly show the ensemble travel back in time.

Recently, TheRealstanlee.Com spotted an interesting comment by the Russo Brothers in Thor Ragnarok’s special features from the home media release. The featurette was for Marvel studios’ 10-year celebration featuring actors and directors that were part of the last 18 MCU films.

In the video, the Avengers: Infinity War filmmakers and MCU boss Kevin Feige explain how the stories will be interconnected in the threequel.

Every story that Marvel has told since Iron Man 1 finds a narrative thread in these next two Avengers movies. It is a culmination of all that storytelling,” the filmmakers said.

This isn’t the first time fans have heard this piece of information. In fact, Feige mentions it in the video that was officially released by Marvel on the start of Avengers: Infinity War production.

What we always try to do at Marvel Studios is we are building a cinematic universe, says Feige. Avengers: Infinity War is a culmination of the entire Marvel cinematic universe that started in May of 2008 with the release of Iron Man 1.”

It will be interesting to see how events from past MCU films will connect to conclude its story in Avengers 4. For now, fans can expect to see a part of it in the upcoming Infinity War hits theatres on April 27th as the studio recently moved its release date.
