Andrew Lincoln’s final episode of The Walking Dead saw Pollyanna McIntosh’s Jadis, aka Anne, leader of the Heapsters, turned a rescuer for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Considering the fact that Jadis was in the helicopter with a wounded Rick as he flew away to his next adventure, it is expected she’ll be in at least one of the upcoming Rick Grimes movie trilogy.
During a recent interview with TV Guide, when Pollyanna McIntosh was asked about reprising the role of Jade in a Rick Grimes movie, she said she doesn’t know if she will be yet.
McIntosh confirmed that she has not yet been approached or signed for any such film and if she didn’t hear anything by Christmas, she would know that she is a not a part of the trilogy.
“They want to shoot next year, so if I don’t hear by Christmas I’ll know that I’m not doing it, won’t I?” The Walking Dead actress said.
McIntosh, who has been on AMC’s The Walking Dead since season seven, has also bid a farewell to the show along with Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan.
Notably, the first of the three rick Grimes movie that will run on the AMC network will see Andrew Lincoln back as Rick. It will explore the story of where Rick is taken and what he faces in a new corner of the zombie apocalypse.
During an interview with the Talking Dead, Walking Dead franchise boss Scott Gimple said the Rick Grimes films will take the Walking Dead universe to a different level.
“It’s not the beginning of the end, it’s the end of the beginning,” Gimple said, according to The Wrap. “And I like the idea that we get to tell a bigger story, maybe with a sort of wider vista. And I’ve always been interested in what’s going on out there, you know, whether or not there is contact with the wider world. I want to know the meta of it all. And I suppose to be able to kind of touch upon that in a contained story for me is a very exciting proposition … Maybe it’s the start of a bigger story.”
The first Rick Grimes movie is expected to go into production next year.
