Earlier in may, it was revealed that fans would get to see a young Arthur Curry in Aquaman. A Sydney teen named Otis Dhanji was cast to play the 13-year-old version of the character. But a recent update suggests that there could be more of the superhero from his early life.
The Aquaman Shrine recently tweeted that another young actor named Kaan Guldur has been cast to play an even younger version of Arthur Curry. It looks like fans would also get to see a 9-year-old version of the superhero in Aquaman. Check out the tweet below.
For those unaware, The Aquaman Shrine is a reputed source known for breaking several stories related to the Atlantian superhero on his blog. The Twitter account is also followed by DC Film boss Geoff Johns.
Going by the casting news, it looks like the DC film would establish Arthur Curry from his early young life. It’s also possible for Queen Atlanna played by Nicole Kidman to be involved in these scenes featuring the young Arthur Curry.
The two young actors would be part of the flashback scenes in the film. Shrine also put out another tweet which explains that James Wan seems to have plans to “reveal character origins & Atlantean history via flashbacks structured similar to Geoff Johns New 52 AQUAMAN run.” Fans can check out his tweet below.
Earlier, it was also revealed that the film would include mysterious aquatic creatures. The hint suggested that this character could be none other than ‘trench’ which were introduced in New 52 Aquaman comics by Johns in 2011.
