Marvel Studios has confirmed that Avengers 4 will mark the end of Phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Fans have already started speculating what the film studio might have in store for Phase 4 and what could possibly happen with their current favorite Marvel characters such as Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and Thor. Basically, everything beyond Avengers 4 is a big mystery for now.
During a recent interview with Cinema Blend, when Marvel head Kevin Feige was asked if the film studio is treating productions of the confirmed Phase 4 films, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, differently considering what happened to many of those characters at the end of Infinity War, he said it’s safe for fans not to make any assumptions about MCU Phase 4 at this point of time.
“We’re holding off on specifics on all of it for all the same reasons we hold off on everything,” Feige said. “For the most part, it keeps the surprises going. The one thing I’ll say is… the mere fact that those films exist, people shouldn’t take any indication that they can now guess what will happen. Let’s put it that way.”
Kevin’s answer implies that Marvel will try its level best to keep all the information about Phase 4 close to the chest to ensure that everything rolls out as a big surprise for fans.
In another interview with Collider, when Feige was asked when fans will finally get to learn the title for Avengers 4, he confirmed the title reveal will happen towards the end of the year.
“That’ll be after the Captain Marvel teaser probably, announcing that title,” the Marvel head said. “It’ll be towards the end of the year with however we launch that film.”
To recall, the first Avengers: Infinity War trailer arrived on November 29th of last year, so it’s highly likely the Avengers 4 trailer will be dropped around the same time.
