The Tom Hiddleston starring Loki season 2 has received a heart-melting request from a Terminally-ill Marvel fan. A woman battling stage 4 cancer shared her plea on Marvel Studios subreddit hoping to be memorialized in the upcoming series.
The much-anticipated follow-up of the Disney Plus series is amid production, so filming a brief shot as an extra wouldn’t be burdensome for Marvel Studios considering their earlier decision to organize a special Avengers: Endgame screening for a fan with a rare terminal genetic disorder. However, the woman’s “unusual” plea is rather to be a background poster on a shot of the Loki show.
The recent Reddit post titled “Dying Woman’s Unusual Request for Marvel” links to an earlier post by the individual detailing her battle with Stage 4 terminal cancer. A fan of Marvel since the 90s, she described her desire to become a background prop in Loki.
“My request was unusual, and I’m used to being judged and laughed at, so I was hesitant to give details, which now I’m dying I realise is stupid. Being judged as weird is nothing in comparison to what else is going on in my life. Anyway, I want to be a poster (or similar, a hologram, or painting or something) hanging in the background of a Loki TV series shot.”
While her initial request for a Gambit movie is outside the realm of possibilities (sorry, Channing Tatum), she detailed the reason as “becoming, in some way, a part of something I have loved for years.” Readers can check out the post below.
The plea has already gone viral with many fanatics spreading the message in hopes of it reaching the higher-ups at Marvel Studios. One redditor also tagged the Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani’s reddit account. “Wish you all the best, sending all my good vibes and energies your way. This was the only thing I could think of, but u/TheImanVellani.” Another advised to reach out to actor Mark Hamill and other influencers to amplify the reach.
“Like someone else said tweet at Mark Hamill, he often responds to fans. You can tweet to Matt Ramos too on Twitter, he has a lot of influence in the fandom and probably some connections to Marvel too. Hopefully your wish comes true and I’m sure it will”
And speaking of Loki, the God of Mischief star was recently spotted filming a scene that’s apparently set in the 1970s. Hiddleston was wearing Time Variance Authority (TVA) officer attire and was spotted shooting what seems like an investigation at a McDonald’s joint.
