The wait is over! Netflix’s Jessica Jones Season 2 is almost here. Krysten Ritter starrer fan-favorite Marvel Comics-based series hit the small screen this week.
Meanwhile, comic book writer, editor, artist and former Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics Joe Quesada has released an exciting artwork designed for the highly anticipated Season 2. Quesada shared his first piece of art for Jessica Jones ahead of the soon approaching Season 2 release on his official Twitter account.
The image showcases a creative portrayal of the titular character. “From the land of Never Seen Before Images: A little Jessica Jones imagery. Can’t wait for you all to see season 2!” reads the caption for the post. Scroll down to view the post.
Along with this artwork, Quesada released artwork for Iron Fist and Daredevil Season 2. At some point, he has also served as executive producer for Marvel series Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter.
In other news, the series’ Season 2 episode titles have been revealed. A series of 13 pulp art covers have been unveiled by artists revealing the title and the essence of each episode. Find the posters compiled as a small clip below.
As revealed before, Season 2 is expected to pick up from where the previous season left off. However, its focal point remains Jessica Jones tragic past and her new life as a superhero. The show will see her struggling and adapt to her superhero mantle.
“New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why,” reads the official synopsis for Season 2.
Created by Melissa Rosenberg, Jessica Jones Season 2 features Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachel Taylor as Trish, Will Traval as Will Simpson and more. The series is scheduled to return on Netflix on March 8.
