‘Skrull since civil war’: Secret Invasion episode 6 fans react to Rhodey’s shocking reveal, G’iah’s Super-Skrull powers of Captain Marvel, Hulk & other Avengers, Gravik’s death, here’s a recap of Nick Fury starrer series’ finale

Secret Invasion episode 6 finally unveiled the real Rhodey and eagle-eyed Marvel fans believe the Iron Patriot/War Machine shown in Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame is the Skrull known as Raava. The finale showed the most anticipated stand-off between Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) & Gravik but luckily, the former SHIELD director still had a trump card up his sleeve – Talos’ (Ben Mendelsohn) daughter G’iah (Emilia Clarke) the Super-Skrull. Here are the best moments from the Secret Invasion finale according to folks on social media.

Turns out, Nick Fury never intended to face Gravik in the abandoned Nuclear facility in Russia. Knowing no human could survive the radiation energy at the Skrull hideout – it was evident Fury would expect G’iah’s aid, which explains his cryptic message at the end of Secret Invasion episode 5.

Still, The most unexpected revelation was Rhodey apparently still being paralyzed when G’iah woke him up from the cryogenic-Esque machine. Rhodey is unable to walk suggesting the real Rhodes was kidnapped by the Skrull sometime after the climactic events of Captain America: Civil War.

MCU fans are already distraught by the idea that the real Rhodes was not present at Tony Stark’s funeral. In fact, he may still not have knowledge of Iron Man’s death. On the bright side, it will be an interesting plot point to explore in Armor Wars. Nonetheless, fans are not supportive of the idea nor able to digest the thought of a Skrull Rhodey fighting alongside the Avengers during the Infinity War saga.

The next big takeaway from the Secret Invasion finale is G’iah transforming into the most overpowered character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Gravik gets his hands on the harvest of Avengers DNA – the Skrull resistance leader fails to realize it is G’iah disguised as Fury and uses the Super-Skrull power-inducing machine with her inside the zone.

G’iah is initially shown tapping into The Hulk’s ability to smash Gravik away. G’iah uses Drax’s super-strength, Ghost a.k.a Ava Starr’s invisibility and she as well as Gravik are shown exchanging blows while using powers of the Black Order namely Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive and the Cull Obsidian. The best power-up is acquiring Carol Danvers a.k.a Captain Marvel’s cosmic power and using Mantis’ telepathy.

It’s safe to say G’iah also has Scarlet Witch’s powers but it does not necessarily make her immune since she easily manages to kill Gravik using Carol Danvers’ cosmic energy blast. It should also be noted Wanda’s abilities are her magic powers so it’s unlikely to have transferred through DNA. Furthermore, G’iah siding with Sonya Falsworth indicates we will see her return soon – possibly even aiding the Avengers but it may hinge on which side England stands.

The secret Invasion finale rushed ending disappoints fans but are eager to see Rhodey’s return in Armor Wars

Meanwhile, Secret Invasion episode 6 confirms Fury’s presence in The Marvels movie is the real deal and not a Skrull in disguise. But on Earth, the war between Skrulls and humans appears to be far from over with humanity on a manhunt to eradicate the alien species.

Overall, the fan reception for the Secret Invasion finale is not up to the mark with many calling it a rushed half-baked ending. It’s clear the six-episode format is not a good strategy for Marvel Studios.

Fury also hints President Ritson might not be around in the next MCU project due to his speech which inspired hit squads to take matters into their own hands leading to an identity crisis, “That’s real one-term-President stuff”. it further assures reports that claimed Thunderbolt Ross would be president in Captain America: New World Order.

Secret Invasion finale is available to stream on Disney Plus.
