The Walking Dead Season 8: Unexpected War Resolution In Finale Teased

The Walking Dead Season 8 is just around the corner. The AMC series’ eighth season comes to close with the sixteenth episode titled “Wrath” and it will reveal the outcome of the epic war between Negan’s Saviours and Alexandria-Hilltop-Kingdom alliance.

The Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple sat down with TV Line to talk about the highly-anticipated finale and revealed that it would be nothing that fans expect it to be. He promises a resolution to the war but it may not be what fans and even the cast anticipated.

We will see a resolution of the war,” Gimple told TV Line. “It might not be what people are expecting. It might not be what some of the characters even want. But it is a conclusion, and they have to deal with its aftermath.”

With so many uncertainties, Gimple is hoping the conclusion of the war and the finale will be able to satisfy the viewers. “I pray to God that they are satisfied,” Gimple said.

Having to deal with Carl’s departure, fans must be prepared to deal with more. The showrunner teased more casualties in the finale. This should not be surprising for fans as death and casualties are a usual feature of The Walking Dead’s important episodes.

There are casualties along the way, and it is an incredibly tough business. But it only shows just how deeply connected these characters are and how their fates are tied together, even if some of them don’t want them to be,” Gimple explained.

The communities join forces in the last stand against the Saviors as the all-out war unfolds,” reads the official synopsis for The Walking Dead Season 8 finale “Wrath.”

The Walking Dead Season 8 finale will be followed by Fear the Walking Dead Season 4 premiere featuring Morgan’s exit from Alexandria as he moves to the west.

Fans can also look forward to the filming of The Walking Dead Season 9 later this year. But it doesn’t look like the show will be returning anytime soon.

The Walking Dead Season 8 episode 16 airs April 15 on AMC. Be sure to keep visiting Pursue News for more updates and information.
